The detail

The Poop Deck is at the very heart of St Ives and boasts panoramic views of the stunning fishing port, historic harbour and bay. A skip from the beach and beautifully decorated, this gorgeous apartment would be a dream for a family of up to six or couples and friends seeking an idyllic spot in beautiful St Ives.

The interior is open plan, light, airy and perfectly set up for a relaxing seaside holiday. The kitchen is compact, neat and fully equipped with a fridge-freezer for your champagne, a dishwasher and an electric oven and hob where you can create delicious meals, possibly some locally sourced crab or lobster!

The living area is beautifully designed by Iroka and offers a large cosy sofa and an armchair where you can relax and watch a movie on the flat screen after a day of exploring. There are also two further armchairs nestled in the bay window looking out over the wharf. A wonderful spot to enjoy the comings and goings of the sea. Everything is themed in various sandy pale shades and a mixture of blues that don't overwhelm, but rather compliment the view outside. The room is tied together by a striking blue glass dining table with ample seating for six. A glorious place to enjoy breakfast before a day at the beach.

The piece de resistance of this incredibly well placed apartment is the balcony. Possibly the best seat in the harbour for enjoying your morning coffee or an evening cocktail whilst watching the scene below, taking in the sea, the bay and the beach.

There are three lovely bedrooms to choose from. A master is situated at the front of the apartment with its own French doors out to the balcony. There's a big comfortable bed decked out in crisp linens, plenty of storage and ensuite facilities with a powerful shower. Two further bedrooms are equally beautifully designed with one boasting a king size zip-link bed that can be separated into twin beds as required, and one with hand-built fitted bunks. These two rooms share a generous family bathroom with a bathtub and shower overhead.

After a peaceful night's sleep and a refreshing shower you might like to take your coffee out to the balcony and enjoy the view at the little table whilst you make your plans for the day.

If it's a beach day you'll find a shed outside the front door full of beach items you're welcome to use, and on the way back you can indulge in an outdoor shower too! Harbour beach is on the doorstep, literally, and stunning Porthmeor beach is just a five-minute walk away. Have a stroll along the harbour and explore, maybe pop into the Tate St Ives and peruse the local art. You'll be a stone's throw from all the excellent restaurants and bars that St Ives has to offer. The hosts recommend Cintra Seafood Bar for cocktails and small seafood plates with a view over St Ives Harbour. Afterwards you can head back to your private balcony, mix another drink and sit out on the balcony taking in the view.
