THE PIG-at Harlyn Bay offers characterful rooms, a truly wonderful dining experience and a perfect location from which to explore the wonders of Cornwall. It would be an excellent choice for romantic couples, food lovers and those who love the sea.

The location is particularly lovely with incredible views of the sea from the 15th century house, it offers a selection of beautiful eclectic rooms to suit all needs. The smallest room has the best views, the Snug rooms all have monsoon showers and the larger rooms also come with free-standing baths. And for those of you wanting a very romantic break, there are four Garden Wagons nestled in varying spots around the garden.

All of the rooms are decorated with lush, rich fabrics, very comfy beds, reclaimed woods and art on the walls, providing a charming environment for you to unwind and relax in. Every room has its own little larder stocked full with locally sourced snacks and munchies for you to purchase.

Locally sourced is a huge theme with THE PIG who pride themselves with a serious commitment to to home grown produce and a menu that can be traced to within 25 miles. They have an impressive Kitchen Garden where they grow and harvest much of what you'll find on both their menu and in their cocktails. They also have a gardener and forager who work closely with the chef and are supported by local farmers and small producers to create a menu that is simple, delicious and very seasonal.

Once you're settled into your room you might like to head out and explore the grounds which hold a lovely garden and are just a short stroll from Harlyn beach and Constantine Bay beaches, perfect for clearing the head and taking in the glorious sea air. Every Friday there's a free guided tour around the Kitchen Garden.

After a refreshing walk, head back, book a table at the restaurant for supper and head up to your room for a long lazy soak in the tub or an invigorating shower.

This PIG has two restaurants to choose from, one in the main house and their brand new outdoor dining terrace, The Lobster Shed. The first is beautifully designed to create a casual but stunning environment to enjoy some delicious food paired with excellent wines, and the second is casual, with outdoor seating and incredible views on a summers evening. Before you eat you might like to stop off at the oval bar and enjoy a Kitchen Garden inspired cocktail in a plush setting with peacock blue walls, cosy seating and friendly staff.

In addition to their fabulous menu, THE PIG offers organic spa treatments in their various delightful Potting Sheds dotted around the garden which have an eclectic charm all of their own.

If you want to explore a little further afield you're only a 10-minute drive from the picturesque port of Padstow where you can dine at Rick Stein's and visit the farm shop. The bustling towns of Rock and Polzeath (of Poldark fame) are just across the water. There's a sauna by the sea that gives PIG guests a discount, and Tarquin's Gin Distillery is only six miles away if you fancy a tasting.
