The Nest has been designed in a cool industrial style with a spacious interior, light airy rooms and pretty outdoor areas where you can chase the sun all day. It would be perfect for a couple, a small family or friends seeking a wonderful escape in picturesque Charlestown, famed for its food culture.
Located in a peaceful gated development, there's a sense of exclusivity and style from the moment you arrive. Located in the heart of historic Charlestown Harbour, the house is surrounded by stunning views. Park in your private spot right in front of the house and head in through the lawned front garden. You'll find yourself in a lovely spacious hallway with a roof light flooding the space with sunshine.
Unpack your shopping in the large ultra modern kitchen which has been fully fitted with Miele appliances and everything you could need to cook delicious meals. Settle at the cosy dining table right by the French doors which open on to a west-facing patio and provides an excellent view of the sunset. Be sure to make a cocktail and soak it all in. The kitchen also has a Smart TV.
A separate utility room is home to a washing machine and tumble dryer and provides a side door to the property perfectly placed for coming straight in from the nearby beach and into the wet room for a refreshing shower.
The living room is large and open with plenty of comfortable sofas and seating for everyone to chill and enjoy a movie night on the 65” Panasonic Smart TV. Make plenty of popcorn, open a bottle and settle in for a cosy evening together. On warm nights you can open the bi-fold doors and enjoy dinner in the pretty walled courtyard garden where you'll find another table and plenty of seating. From here you can head up the metal stairs to the upper terrace where you'll find a complete sun trap kitted out with loungers and a double egg chair. This is a fabulous place to enjoy your morning coffee, or a last cup of tea beneath the stars before bed.
When you're ready to turn in just head up the gorgeous oak and glass staircase where you'll find vaulted ceilings and more examples of the stunning industrial design. There are two bedrooms, one at the front and one at the rear of the property. The front bedroom has a king size bed decked out in high quality linens and comes with a Juliet balcony where you can bask in the view of Charlestown Harbour and St Austell Bay. A triple wardrobe provides plenty of storage and on warm summer nights you can sleep with the French doors open and the sound of the sea lulling you away.
The rear bedroom is perfect for children or friends sharing, with twin single beds, lots of storage and a view of the pretty courtyard. Both rooms are beautifully decorated in a simple and elegant style. After a good night's sleep you can enjoy the fabulous bathroom which has a large walk-in shower and a big deep bath if you fancy a long slow start to the day.
Charlestown is known as the food lovers' paradise of South Cornwall and you'll be just a short walk from many fabulous eateries and pubs. You might like to make the two-minute walk to the picturesque harbour and enjoy a swim before treating yourself to an artisan coffee and a delicious pastry. Spend the day exploring St Austell Bay, do some paddle boarding then head home to freshen up and enjoy a sun downer in the garden before heading out to eat. The Boathouse and Rashleigh Arms are very dog friendly and the Longstore and Spring Tidy come highly recommended. And they're all right on your elegant doorstep!
