Wonderfully cosy and welcoming, The Lodge is found in the heart of an organic dairy farm on the South Devon coast, around two miles from Mothecombe Beach. This eco-friendly lodge boasts a pretty garden which is perfect for all the family – including dogs.
With a four-star Gold rating from Visit Britain, The Lodge is a two-bedroom property which comes complete with a barbecue and outdoor dining area. With a selection of essentials including tea, coffee and milk waiting for you on arrival, you will feel right at home in no time.
On the lower level of the cottage, there’s an open-plan living area, with a lounge, dining area and kitchen. With an oak floor, chunky wooden dining table and warming log-burning stove, this is a cosy space to relax in – plus there are dual aspect views of the garden and wildflower meadow through floor-to-ceiling windows. Also downstairs is a bathroom with bath tub and overhead shower.
The stairs lead you straight up to the twin bedroom with children’s play area, which in turn leads to the double bedroom with its garden view. High quality, 100% cotton bed linens and fluffy towels are provided for added comfort.
The Lodge offers free Wi-Fi and widescreen TV to keep you entertained. Its eco-credentials include solar panels, triple glazing and energy and water-saving measures, while cleaning materials are environmentally friendly too.
Carswell Farm is a working organic dairy farm right on the coast, giving this cottage a particularly attractive, family-friendly setting. Surrounding fields are often filled with cute lambs and calves, while nearby beaches provide golden sands for families to play and rocks to clamber on. Lots of baby equipment can be provided, and local babysitting services arranged.
With Plymouth offering all kinds of attractions just over 30 minutes away, and the rugged Dartmoor National Park even closer, there is plenty to do around the area – you could even pop over the border to Cornwall. There are many dog-friendly beaches (and pubs) too, so your pets can enjoy the holiday just as much as you.
Please note that the minimum stay for this property is 3 nights
