The Lodge is a cosy wooden chalet that is perfectly nestled in one of Skye’s most picturesque and peaceful locations. This marvellous home for two is a truly romantic retreat that offers uninterrupted views across the sea to the mainland, with clear days revealing the distant peaks of the Highlands up to 70 miles away. Built by a local crofter in 2006, it perfectly balances charm, comfort, and style.
Ideal for couples, the open-plan living area is as inviting as it gets, with comfy seating and a wood-burning stove to keep you toasty on chilly evenings. Enjoy a movie on the Smart TV or simply sit and chat with your loved one as the sun begins to set outside.
The kitchen, with its warm wooden worktops, is fully equipped with all the essentials, including a dishwasher and a washing and drying machine, so you can focus on relaxing during your stay. The dining space is perfectly placed to enjoy those stunning views while you share a meal. Or if the sun is shining you can dine together on the picnic bench in the garden that overlooks the striking coastline.
When night falls, the cosy bedroom features a spacious king size bed that offers a delightful night’s sleep, whilst the windows offer yet more lovely views of the surrounding scenery. The lodge also has a quaint bathroom with a shower for a morning soak before you strike out and explore the area.
Start your adventure in Staffin, a charming village on Skye’s rugged northeast coast. Explore the stunning Quiraing landslip with its dramatic rock formations and panoramic views. Visit Staffin Beach, famous for its ancient dinosaur footprints, visible at low tide.
From there, head to Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls, a striking cliff and waterfall combination. Discover the mystical Fairy Pools for a refreshing dip or hike. Finally, savour local seafood and embrace Skye’s wild beauty at every turn.
