This lovely seaside home makes the perfect retreat for families looking for sea swims, strolls through sand dunes and visits to ancient castles. This modern stone and timber house is in a quiet spot, partially surrounded by fields, in walking distance of pretty Warkworth and a short stroll through the dunes to the unspoilt Northumberland coast. Guests will instantly relax when they step foot into the calming entrance hall of this lovely three bedroom seaside bolthole.
Head into the kitchen/dining area and be instantly struck by the modern space with uninterrupted views across the large garden to the sea beyond. The kitchen has all the bits and pieces required for creating lovely meals including a kitchen island where all the family can join in with the slicing and chopping. A large kitchen table has space for everyone to enjoy lazy brunches and delicious dinners, all while enjoying the views through the floor-to-ceiling sliding doors which open on to the lawned garden. Parents can sit and chat while watching youngsters play in this safe, enclosed space.
To make the most of the great views, the lounge is positioned on the first floor. It has a wonderful wide balcony with patio furniture, where guests can relax in the sunshine, sip their morning coffee or enjoy watching the sunset with glass of wine in hand. Inside the lounge space is filled with comfy sofas and a flatscreen television for family movie nights. There is a large telescope for watching the spectacular pollution-free night sky.
And, when it is time to turn in, tired, sun-drenched bodies will find rest and recuperation in the three stylish and quiet bedrooms. The master is found on the ground floor and has a king size bed and ensuite filled with luxurious complimentary toiletries for guests to treat themselves with. There is also a separate ground floor shower room, ideal for washing off sand and salt after days on the beach.
The first floor is home to a double bedroom with an ensuite and youngsters will love the twin room. A family bathroom, with a big bathtub, is also situated on the first floor.
The Dunes is a lovely spot with plenty to do within walking distance. The local village, Warkworth is a great place for a day out and has a castle, river and several pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Sun Hotel and The Hermitage Inn are just of couple of the recommended place to eat and grab a drink.
