Located on a working farm on the outskirts of the North York Moors, the BOX BNB offers three creatively converted shipping containers that are now boutique holiday cabins. With floor-to-ceiling windows through which you can enjoy the view, wood-burning stoves to keep you cosy and luxury furnishings, these cabins provide a peaceful, relaxing escape amidst beautiful scenery.
Choose between the Rabbit Box, the Duck Box and the Pig Box, all of which are beautifully furnished in a contemporary style. Each cabin has an open plan living area which features a cosy lounge space with a wood burner, the perfect spot to put your feet up after a long walk in the countryside. There’s also a small dining table and a kitchen which features all of the essentials. This space has two large floor-to-ceiling windows so you can enjoy the views while you sit back on the sofa or enjoy your morning coffee.
There’s a double bedroom with a comfortable bed and another huge window at its foot. Sit up in bed and watch the sunrise over the fields or even do a bit of stargazing at night. The sofa in the lounge converts into a sofa bed which is big enough for another adult or two small children. There’s also room for a travel cot. The bathroom features a large shower with stylish tiling and brass fittings.
Step outside onto the large, raised deck area where you’ll find a table and chairs so you can sit back and enjoy the view in the sunshine. With easy access to the kitchen, take your meals outside on warm days or simply enjoy a glass of something outside in the evenings.
If you can tear yourself away from your peaceful haven, there’s plenty to do in the local area. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to food and drink with the award-winning food town of Malton just six miles away. Go to the market, book yourself onto one of the food tours, visit the artisan producers or sign up for a lesson at The Cook's Place Cooking School. There’s also the Rare Bird Distillery where you can learn about the gin making process or just sit back and enjoy a delicious gin and tonic. The cabins are also in a great location for cycling and walking enthusiasts with the North Yorks Moors on your doorstep and plenty of trails that take you through spectacular scenery.
