The Art Deco House offers up style and spacious living in abundance. With no less than four reception rooms and six gorgeous bedrooms sleeping up to sixteen people (fourteen adults and five children), it really is the perfect place for a luxury group get together. Offering a stunning array of communal spaces with a drawing room, dining room, sunroom (The cocktail lounge) and garden room - this striking villa serves up its own slice of utterly captivating Art Deco history. With elegant interiors, a distinguished cliff top location and 3/4 of an acre of glorious formal gardens, it will take your breath away. Step back into this wonderfully glamorous era and treat yourselves to a truly memorable break.
The drawing room is a large elegant space with all you need to relax, with spectacular stained glass windows, parquet flooring and large leather sofas. And the glorious attention to detail really adds to the allure, from the walnut cocktail cabinet to the concealed card table - perfect for some post-dinner poker. The mod cons are also included with a television and cleverly concealed Alexa and Sonos sound system.
The dining rooms seats up to eighteen people and is a wonderfully grand affair with deep red walls, handsome wood panelling and jaw-dropping chandeliers. With a dining room this grand it would be a shame not to take advantage of the private dining services on offer - from a celebration cake and afternoon tea to the full fine dining experience. You can even order magnums of expertly selected champagnes (chosen by the owner who is also, rather handily, a fine wine and champagne connoisseur).
The well-equipped kitchen has no less than three ovens and a large gas hob. And with enough pots, pans and crockery to serve up a banquet, you’ll find that you’re not in want of anything. In fact, you’ll be nicely surprised by the more unexpected items - with a bread-maker and even a popcorn machine, the owners really have thought of everything.
Upstairs you’ll discover the amazing sunroom with stunning views from Culver Cliffs over to Luccombe. The picture perfect vistas really make the ideal backdrop to your morning cup of tea or aperitif before dinner.
The garden room is a bright and airy space that enjoys views of the delightful garden. Pick up a book, put your feet up and enjoy a moment of peace. Step out into the garden to marvel at the manicured gardens and striking ponds. And with a dining table that can seat eighteen people, you’ll find that any al-fresco needs are also covered in a suitably grand manner.
All the bedrooms have their own individual wow factor with sumptuous beds, luxurious bed linen and fabulous original features. There is also additional sleeping space available in the morning room. Set up as a games room with board games, space for teenagers to game and a well-stocked DVD collection - it makes a great escape for younger guests. But if you did have a couple of extra people to sleep, then there are two comfortable full-size single day-beds that you’re free to make use of.
The location on the Isle of Wight means that you have an array of fabulous beaches to explore. Nearby Vetnor has winding streets with plenty of independent shops to browse. Take a detour to Steephill Cove - a delightful place to sample some of the freshly caught seafood.
