Looking over the majestic Eildon Hills and surrounded by nature in the beautiful Scottish Borders is Eildon Melrose's Log Cabin. Allow your stress to melt away as you relax in the wood fired hot tub in this tranquil corner of the UK.
Stepping inside the luxurious cabin reveals the open plan living area on the ground floor. Comfy sofas sit in front of a wood burning stove and a 32-inch flat screen TV. The fully equipped kitchen is complete with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric dual oven and hob, and washing machine/tumble dryer. There is also a dining table with bench seating for four people, while the whole area is kept warm by underfloor heating.
One of the versatile bedrooms is found on the ground floor as well and has private access to a shower room. The other is on the mezzanine floor accessed by a wooden staircase and has a vaulted ceiling and spectacular views across the hills beyond. Both bedrooms can either be set up as a twin, or a double with a superking, thanks to the use of zip and link beds.
Outside is a large decked area with a Weber charcoal barbecue and outdoor furniture in the enclosed garden. There is also logged seating around the firepit so those staying can remain under the stars even when the temperature starts to drop. The final bit of luxury is provided by the Scandinavian style wood fired hot tub, which is perfect for sitting back in with a glass of fizz.
Wood for the hot tub and stove is provided from sustainable sources, while the cabin’s grass turf roof minimises the visual impact on the landscape and also helps the local wildlife.
The location of Reiver’s Hideaway at Eildon Melrose is superb. It is situated right in the heart of the Scottish Borders and you're therefore ideally placed for exploring the whole region. There are plenty of walks and trails to be discovered right on the doorstep, while the bustling historical city of Edinburgh is only an hour away and is accessed by the scenic Borders Railway.
