Located in the heart of Whitby, No. 30 is a striking Victorian townhouse on four floors, sleeping up to 20 guests in 10 king size, en-suite, bedrooms. In an ideal location with shops, bars, restaurants and the beach all a short walk away, this house is perfect for big groups, special celebrations and large family holidays by the seaside.

The first impression upon entering this house is the commitment to style and comfort. Despite dating back to 1864 the owners have created a light, spacious and modern interior whilst managing to maintain the building's Victorian grandeur in some of the original features, such as the charming exposed beams and the various fireplaces which can be found throughout the property.

The ground floor has a large but cosy living room with original stripped floorboards, a high corniced ceiling and a log burning stove to snuggle around. Guests can get comfy on one of three lovely chesterfield style leather sofas in blue, tan and grey. There's a large bay window flooding the space with natural light, a 43” smart TV and a big grey rug tying the room together to make it cosy and welcoming. The walls have been painted a lovely grey blue colour and you can choose to close the room off with large double doors or open them up to connect through to the open plan kitchen and dining area where you'll find further living space with two sofas and an armchair.

There's plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable and chill. This open plan area is the icing on the cake. Light and airy with generous proportions, it provides 100 square meters of socialising space and has been gorgeously decorated with bright pops of colour everywhere. A dream for people who love cooking, the kitchen is high-end and well equipped with every modern convenience you could need to whip up a fabulous dinner for everyone. With four newly installed Zanussi ovens, a microwave, plus an AEG six burner gas hob, it's a playground for the chefs amongst you. The kitchen also boasts a double sink, an integrated dishwasher and a large American-style fridge freezer. There are two extending white gloss dining tables with funky yellow chairs which, when configured, can seat twenty, and the breakfast bar provides seating for eight.

On a bright sunny morning you might like to open the two sets of large sliding doors to the courtyard and bring the sunshine and sea air in, or take your morning coffee out and enjoy it on the modern decking where there is plenty more seating and an extending table.

The bedrooms are distributed between the first, second and third floor of the property and all have their own character and furnishings making the vibe of the place more of a luxury home than a uniform hotel. However, all rooms have fabulous en-suite bathrooms, king size comfy beds and flat screen TV's for added luxury and privacy.

Whitby has some fabulous eateries and pubs serving local food, meaning you're spoilt for choice. You might like to try Trenchers for some great seafood and of course, fish and chips. Head to Harry's lounge and bar for some cocktails and enjoy a bracing walk along Whitby's famous Blue Flag beach. A visit to 13th century Whitby Abbey is a must, having served as the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula. You can walk through the crumbled church, admire the stunning panoramas across the harbour - it's recently been named Britain's Most Romantic Ruin - and catch a stunning sunset.

Had a fantastic long-weekend at No30! The house is spacious, comfortable and was immaculately clean. It was great to each have our own en-suite rooms. The open-plan downstairs space was perfect for us to eat and socialise together. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. Mark communicated well before the visit and check in was easy. Would highly recommend a stay a this fabulous house!
