These two beautiful dwellings in the Lincolnshire Wolds sleep a total of 20 guests across a stunning barn and a cosy cottage. During your stay you’ll have your own private indoor swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, ensuring you are provided with ample opportunity to relax and unwind in style. You’re also welcome to explore the estate on which you’re staying, or venture further afield and walk the many amazing routes right from your doorstep.
The two properties are Marris Barn and Marris Cottage. Up first is Marris Barn and the Wagon Shed, a spacious holiday home that sleeps 16 guests across seven ensuite bedrooms - one of which sits in a fully-accessible annexe. Once the long barn, this home has been lovingly converted into the ultimate luxury holiday accommodation.
Bright and vibrant, the barn features bold colour schemes, high ceilings and large windows that flood the living spaces with natural light. Gather in the long, open-plan living space with its ornate exposed beams and comfy leather lounge seating. Just off here is the beautiful kitchen, which has all the amenities you’ll need to whip up delicious feasts for your group and a giant dining table that sets the scene for grand dinners that stretch long into the night.
When the sun is shining, you can head outside, where there’s an amazing alfresco dining space for delicious summer lunches. There’s a charcoal BBQ here too, for grilling up delicious produce on hot days.
Back inside, the barn has a games area in the pool house, where you can challenge your loved ones to a game of pool, table tennis or darts, before hopping into the water for an afternoon swim. Then, make the most of the hot tub and sauna for an added slice of luxury.
The barn’s numerous bedrooms are all ensuite, with luxury beds for perfect nights’ sleep. Some even have their own free-standing bathtubs for an indulgent soak after a day of fun filled activities. One of the bedrooms sits in the separate annexe, called The Wagon Shed. This spacious, single-storey one-bedroom retreat is nicely accessible, perfect for independent travellers or couples, with a garden room, open-plan living area, large ensuite with wet room and a ramped path linking to the main barn.
Next up is Marris Cottage, which sleeps four. You’ll love the cosy lounge with its low ceilings, exposed wooden beams and calming colour palette. Here, a big comfy sofa and an armchair sit around the feature fireplace, offering a lovely spot to catch up with loved ones by the fire. The kitchen blends farmhouse charm with modern convenience, making meal prep easy and enjoyable. A rustic round table is perfect for laid-back breakfasts or hearty dinners, and French doors open straight onto the patio.
Outside, you’ll find a lovely dining area with stunning countryside views - ideal for alfresco meals or evening drinks. Fire up the charcoal BBQ for a relaxed feast, while little ones and dogs enjoy the spacious lawn.
As night falls, head upstairs to one of two cosy bedrooms, each with its own ensuite for added comfort. One room has a double bed, while the other offers twin beds - ideal for couples, friends or families.
Set on the beautiful Thorganby Hall Estate, these properties give you access to a range of great facilities. Enjoy a friendly match on the tennis court or try your hand at trout fishing on the estate’s lake - just keep one good-sized catch and return the rest.
