Higher Moor Farm Campsite’s modern Hill Top Lodges offer guests a more sophisticated style of accommodation. These ingeniously designed lodges comfortably cater for groups of up to six people. While compact, they don’t compromise on luxury. Large and comfortable beds promise a delightful night’s sleep after a day on Weymouth Beach or exploring the Jurassic Coast. Modern bathrooms and fully-equipped kitchens ensure that you won’t miss out on any home comforts during your stay.
Clever space-saving solutions, such as the raised bedroom area, mean that these lodges are deceptively roomy. The entire front walls of the lodges are glass, letting natural light flood in and making them feel even more spacious. This also has the added bonus of providing a charming view over the rolling hills of the surrounding countryside. The high ceilings over the living areas add to the bright and airy feel and create the perfect place to gather with friends or family for a relaxed drink in the evening.
The Lodges also benefit from all of the site's facilities and features. The on-site farm shop stocks a selection of local produce, including cheeses, meats and a selection of fresh bread, scones and pastries. Dorset Wood Fired Pizza regularly visits the site, producing authentic pizza with the highest-quality ingredients. You can also sample local beers and ciders at the Vintage Marquee Bar while enjoying some live music at the weekends.
Higher Moor Farm could hardly be better situated to make the most of Dorset and the Jurassic Coast. The site is located in the charming village of Nottington, which is just a short drive from Weymouth and its beautiful golden beach. This sheltered bay, overlooked by beautiful Georgian buildings, is a fantastic place to spend the day. A little further up the coast and you come to the breathtaking 96-mile stretch known as the Jurassic Coast where you can explore world-famous landmarks such as Durdle Door, Chesil Beach and Lulworth Cove.
The area was also home to the famous novelist and poet Thomas Hardy, who found inspiration for his writing in the surrounding landscape. Walk in his footsteps and explore the many trails and footpaths in the area or choose from a range of other activities, such as sailing, horse riding or kayaking. Hill Top Lodges provide a fantastic base for you to get involved with any number of activities and reconnect with the outdoors.
