Campo de Arrozman is a magical beach villa located an hour and a half drive south of Lisbon in Portugal. Architecturally, it is built in the style of the traditional local fishermen's huts: made of wood, with a thatched roof, on stilts, but with a modern twist and comfort. Great care has been taken to ensure that it is beautifully integrated into nature and from every room you have a wide view over the magnificent Comporta rice fields as far as the eye can see.

The interior decor combines wood and bamboo to maintain the theme of blending in with the surrounding nature and environment. The white walls and concrete floor give a simple and warm atmosphere throughout and it seems that the objective is for everyone to find their place, regardless of whether it is by the pool during summer or next to the fire through winter.

The villa consists of the main house containing three bedrooms, plus a separate cabin in the landscaped garden. The infinity pool with sun loungers, the covered terrace with dining table and outdoor kitchen, the beautifully landscaped gardens with seating areas and hammock together provide fantastic outdoor living and are the main reason groups and families clamber to book the property during the summer months. It is worth noting that outside the summer season you can book the house and the cabin separate.

The white sand garden, overflow pool and outdoor kitchen located on the deck of the house offer an outdoor setting where you can really kick back and enjoy the rays, indulge in a beer or two and simply disconnect from everyday life. As the house including the cabin can accommodate up to 10 people, it really is the ideal location for a holiday with the whole family or possibly a more adult adventure between friends.

Lagoa Formosa was once a great land of crops, home to the farmers and fisherman of the land. Today, these lands are mainly used for rice cultivation and are home to incredible fauna and flora for you to explore and marvel at. The atmosphere is one of calm and is conducive to peace and rest, only the sounds of wildlife break the silence in this picture postcard retreat.

The villa is located next to the village of Carvalhal and Comporta is just a little further. Here, you can access everything you need (groceries, excellent restaurants, shops and bars). The beaches of Pego and Carvalhal are extremely close, but you may want to rent a bike and cut down the distance whilst taking in some of the magical surrounding scenery. The sunsets from the rice fields or whilst riding a horse along the beaches are something you must try during your stay at the stunning Campo de Arrozman.
