Romantic Cornish retreat with a private cave where you can watch the sun set over the waves
The most delightfully romantic getaway, with breathtaking sea views and an incredibly decadent interior, Black Moon is the perfect couple’s retreat in Cornwall. This gorgeous private apartment, perched literally on the edge of the sea, is the dream setting for a truly wonderful holiday.
With floor to ceiling glass doors that offer majestic views of St Ives bay and the Gwithian lighthouse, the living room is the perfect place to sit and watch the sea. This apartment is so close to the water’s edge that when the tide is in the waves crash against the side of the building.
As well as a cosy living room guests can also open up the trap door and climb down into their own private cave. Once here you can lie on the fur rugs with a glass of champagne and watch through the window as the sun sets over the sea.
The bedroom is equally comfy and offers yet more incredible views of the sea and has a super king size bed, built in cupboards and a dressing table. To the rear of the bedroom there’s also an en suite bathroom for yet more added luxury, complete with a full-size bath and a walk-in shower. Guests can also cook up some lovely Cornish produce in the fully functional kitchen, before eating at the breakfast bar.
With breathtaking decor and gorgeous style throughout - comprising of exposed stonework and pretty fixtures - this entire property has been designed with romance in mind.
Situated right on the water in St Ives, guests have plenty of beaches nearby worth exploring. The town of St Ives also has plenty of winding streets to wander as well as some amazing bars, pubs and restaurants. Leave a reviewAmazing , this place definitely has the Wow factor! The drive through St Ives to get to the cottage was quite stressful as It is extremely busy with not only cars but people , and is congested . The walk from the car parking space is quite a way if you have a lot of luggage. But once you are in...its incredible! The view from the apartment is out of this world. We were lucky with the weather, so when we arrived, we were greeted by amazing blue skies, golden beach and the bluest sea . The furnishings were very comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. There was a welcome hamper which was lovely. Toiletries were nice and towels are included. There was everything you need. Even a picnic hamper, beach towels and beach bag ! Which we made use of . The cave underneath was quirky , and fun . .but be careful as it is accessed by a ladder .We watched seals in the sea from the sofa . We didn't need the car as everything is walking distance. Lots of beaches , shops ,restaurants. Definitely recommend for a romantic break away . Very peaceful, apart from the calming sound of the sea !
