Set in the scenic village of Elgol on the shores of the Isle of Skye's south coast, this charming thatched cottage is perfect for those looking for a peaceful retreat. After a day walking in the hills or exploring the spectacular Loch Coruisk, relax in your cosy hideaway amongst sheepskin rugs and vintage French fabrics with a fire crackling away in the wood burning stove. The owners run a wonderful restaurant next door where you can book yourselves in for breakfast or a special dinner. The cottage is also a licensed premises, so you can enjoy a cocktail served right to your door as you enjoy the breathtaking views over Loch Scavaig and the nearby Cuillin Mountains.

Step inside this pretty stone and thatch cottage and you'll be greeted by a warm and welcoming living space. With exposed beams, a beautiful fireplace and comfortable furnishings, it's the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. To one side, there's a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area with everything you'll need to whip up delicious meals or prepare picnics for days out exploring the island. To the other side, you'll find a cosy living space with a big comfy sofa and an armchair set in front of the wood burner so you can snuggle up in front of a film in the evenings. There's also a snug up on the mezzanine that overlooks the main living area which is the perfect spot to curl up with a book.

Just off from the living area, you'll find a bedroom with a luxurious king size bed, complete with soft, luxurious linens. There's a shower room where you'll find fluffy towels and Compagnie de Provence toiletries and underfloor heating will keep you cosy whatever the weather. If you need some extra sleeping space, there's a comfy sofa bed for an additional guest.

The cottage is perfectly located for outdoor enthusiasts, with plenty of hiking trails and boat trip opportunities on your doorstep. Pack a picnic and set off on a ferry from the nearby harbour to the stunning Loch Coruisk with the magnificent Black Cuillin towering overhead. If you're feeling adventurous, there's also a challenging 10-mile hike that will take you to the Loch by land. You can book yourselves onto boat trips out to the smaller surrounding isles from Elgol's harbour to see a whole array of wildlife, from puffins and sea eagles to whales and dolphins. Go for a gentle stroll along the shoreline for stunning views of the mountains and the surrounding isles or hike to the summit of Bla Bheinn for far-reaching views of the island.
