Trullo Fragno is spread over two beautifully renovated homes. One is a traditional cone shaped trullo building, the other a modern Lamia. Blending traditional architecture with modern convenience and comfort, both living areas are lovely and this retreat would be a great choice for a family of up to seven, or friends seeking a tranquil holiday in sunny Puglia.

The interior of the main building is light and airy with brightly tiled floors, white walls, wooden doors, curved ceilings, alcoves and heaps of character. A traditional Italian kitchen comes fully equipped for all your cooking needs and there'll be an 'Apulian' welcome hamper to greet you. Gather at the eight-seater table where you can enjoy breakfast together, or a coffee, as you make plans for your day.

The living area is cosy with a big sofa, simple clean layout and everything is decorated in warm earthy tones with wood and local materials giving it an authentic and welcoming atmosphere.

The trullo has two bedrooms, a double which comes with its own ensuite, and a twin with a further separate bathroom with shower. Both rooms are pale and soothing with high-quality bed linens and a simple décor where you can sleep deeply and wake to the sound of absolutely nothing!

The additional Lamia has another double bedroom, equally lovely with its own ensuite facilities and a large walk-in shower. With the living room providing another French style sofa bed for the seventh guest if needed. All of the rooms are bathed in natural light from the windows and at night you can close the blinds and enjoy the dark and the cool.

In total, including the ensuite rooms, there are five bathrooms! More than enough to ensure that no one need share or hang around waiting in the morning. And the hosts have provided Acqua di Parma toiletries for you to enjoy.

The most fabulous part of this wonderful holiday home is the outdoor area which is stunning. A large swimming pool with a jacuzzi takes centre stage. There's also a pretty stone patio at one end where you can lounge on the cushions, sip a cold drink and take in the views. There's a fire pit if it gets chilly in the evening and it's a wonderful spot to lie back and read a book. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols around the pool so you can spend the whole day alternating between the hot sun and the cooling water.

And when it's time to eat you have a magnificent outdoor kitchen with a wood-fired oven and BBQ with plenty of prep space and surfaces. Perfect for a long lazy lunch or a celebratory dinner beneath the stars. Throw some steaks on the BBQ or make your own pizza's and get some cocktails mixed! You can dine by the pool under cover or around the side at another dining table on the lawn beneath trailing vines.

The historic town of Martina Franca is only a five-minute drive from your country retreat and offers great cafes, restaurants and boutique shopping. There's a mini-market just three minutes from the villa where you can stock up on food and drink. If you want to explore the nearby villages, Ostuni is less than 20 minutes by car, Cisternino only 12 minutes, and if you'd like a day by the sea it's a beautiful 30-minute drive to the Savelletri coast!
