Thoughtfully designed with rest and recuperation in mind, this tranquil apartment is a great choice for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with family or friends. While original Georgian features and vintage finds give this welcoming oasis tons of character, hand-crafted oak finishings, natural textures and a calming colour palette encourage you to kick back and relax. Located in a historic riverside town surrounded by glorious Suffolk countryside, 12 New Street has all the ingredients for a memorable, restorative staycation.
At the front of the apartment you’ll find a large, sunny living and dining area. With a feature fireplace and opulent sofa, this is a great spot to take it easy while you watch the world go by on the street below, or to enjoy a sociable meal at the dining table. There’s plenty to keep everyone occupied, with a smart TV, board games, books and magazines, along with a selection of children’s toys and books. You’ll also find maps of the local area to help you plan fun trips out.
The classic kitchen is situated off the central hallway and boasts an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. After stocking up with local produce at the nearby deli, you’ll find everything you need to create a delicious meal to enjoy with your guests.
When night time falls, head to the calming bedrooms, which are made up with luxury linens for the sweetest of slumbers. And in the morning you can enjoy a refreshing shower or a long soak in the bath, taking advantage of the complimentary Plumb and Ashby toiletries, before popping out to the local bakery for freshly made pastries.
12 New Street is located in the charming market town of Woodbridge. Set on the River Deben, it’s easy to spend many a happy hour here, exploring the narrow streets packed with historic buildings, enjoying a leisurely lunch in one of the many eateries or taking a riverside stroll. And from Woodbridge you can leave the car behind and hop on the train for a 15-minute journey to Ipswich, where you’ll find a bustling waterfront lined with cafes, galleries and shops.
