Wood Cottage is a lovingly renovated wood-clad holiday home with a wood burning stove, cool Scandinavian inspired decor and stunning valley views through floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Set in a village within walking distance of some great pubs and fabulous walks, this makes a perfect retreat for up to six people in Northumberland.

As you step into Wood Cottage you'll find a lovely open plan living and dining space. Decorated in calm neutral hues, with white washed walls, soft grey textures and scrubbed wood this is a relaxing space to relax after a long day of exploring. There are plenty of comfortable sofas and armchairs where you can curl up around the log-burning fire or gaze out over the Coquet Valley through floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Here you'll find a TV with Freeview, DVD player, Amazon Firestick, books, films and music. There's even a chess set should you wish to challenge your loved one to a game with a view.

Off the living and dining space, the stylish, fully-equipped kitchen comes complete with everything you could need to whip up picnics or evening meals. It includes a fridge, freezer, electric oven and ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and kettle. The cottage also provides a washing machine and tumble dryer.

For those on a working holiday, a separate drop leaf table in the kitchen provides space to work remotely and the property features that all-important, unlimited super-fast WiFi.

The cottage comes complete with three luxuriously decorated bedrooms, one king size, one double and one twin, all furnished with sumptuous throws and cushions, duck and goose down duvets and pillows and comfy chairs. The master bedroom has an ensuite with a walk-in shower, WC and wash-hand basin, as well as a heated towel rail and illuminated mirror. A further family bathroom provides a shower over the bath, WC and wash basin with a heated towel rail and illuminated mirror.

The pretty front garden is lawned and sloping and the perfect spot to catch the sun with a good book, whilst the driveway offers parking space for two cars.

Situated in pretty Thropton Village, the cottage is a stone's throw from some great pubs serving delicious food. This is a nature-lover's dream, with many wonderful walks in the Coquet Valley from your doorstep. Two miles away you'll find the historic market town of Rothbury, with its restaurants, pubs and independent shops.
