On the coastline of the beautiful Isle of Skye are The Tin Sheds. These two luxury and eco-friendly holiday homes are located in Dunan and enjoy spectacular views across Loch na Cairidh to the Scottish mainland beyond.
Both The Green Shed and The Orange Shed sleep up to six people. Each property features a stunning open plan kitchen, dining, and living area as its social heart. Floor to ceiling windows allow guests to take in their stunning surroundings, while curling up on comfy sofas in front of the wood burning stove and 50 inch flat screen TV in the double height lounge.
The stylish kitchen is fully equipped with a range cooker, double oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, wine cooler, and washing machine. The dining area is the perfect place to enjoy time together with family and friends while sitting around the large rustic table, which is handcrafted from 100 percent recycled materials.
Each Tin Shed has three bedrooms. There is a twin bedroom at the rear of the cottage on the ground floor, and a further twin directly above it on the first floor. Meanwhile, the master suite is also upstairs and has the luxury of a king size bed and uninterrupted views across the loch. There is a family bathroom complete with a roll top bath and rainforest shower on the ground floor, as well as separate shower room with rainfall shower on the first.
If you want to breathe in some fresh air and enjoy your surroundings, you can step out of the doors from the lounge that open out onto the cantilevered steel deck at the water’s edge. This is the ideal spot for enjoying a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. From here those staying may even spot otters and grey seals as they look out to the Isle of Scalpay and the Isle of Pabay beyond.
The half kilometre where The Tin Sheds reside is privately owned, meaning guests can enjoy their very own section of the Isle of Skye’s east coast. Dunan is 4.5 miles from the village of Broadford, which has a supermarket, 24-hour petrol station, and pharmacy - as well as a selection of bars, restaurants, and craft shops.
