The Hexagon is a truly unique property and a marvellous design feat, set among the fields and marshes near Tollesbury on the serene Essex coast. Adjoined to an old submarine radar tower, which can be climbed to take in the stunning views over the local waterways and sea, The Hexagon is the ideal stay for couples looking for a peaceful getaway or small families wanting to get away from it all and be surrounded by nature. The perfect spot for birdwatching, this truly special accommodation borders with a Wildlife Nature Reserve and is a superb base for some of England's most glorious walks.

Sleeping two people, The Hexagon benefits from huge windows and bi-fold doors that open right out and a contemporary skylight, which allows the open space to be flooded with natural light. Every inch has been carefully and beautifully decorated, with modern furnishings. It has a spacious king-size bedroom with luxurious en-suite bathroom, and a delightfully well equipped kitchen. In the open-plan living area you'll find a wood-burning stove for those cosy evenings in, and guests can watch the epic sunsets on the sofas atop the viewing floor in the radar tower. Birds that can be spotted from here include marsh harriers, hawks, geese, herons, kites and many more.

The Hexagon is situated on the fields of a working farm, Mell Farm, and is adjoined by the Essex Marshes as well as the sea wall. You'll find the Tollesbury Marina just a few minutes' walk away. The site has been managed for nature conservation for over 25 years with plenty of work done to ensure the local environment can thrive. The owners are passionate about reducing their impact on the environment, using local produce in their welcome boxes, ensuring The Hexagon has underfloor heating, waste water management and reclaimed building materials wherever possible. The local village of Tollesbury is quiet and has a tidal pool ready for swimming and canoeing, as well as excellent eateries and shops in the marina.
