Contemporary holiday home with a hot tub and beautiful countryside views near the coast in Northumberland, perfect for family escapes.
Set in a quiet part of the village of Red Row near Northumberland’s stunning coastline, this contemporary holiday home is perfect for friends and family looking to slow down the pace and relax in the countryside. The house has an enormous south-facing balcony with uninterrupted views of the surrounding fields and rolling hills. After a walk down to the spectacular seven mile long beach at Druridge Bay or a stroll through the bustling fishing town of Amble, sit back in the hot tub and soak up the scenery.
The spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen area is the social hub of the house, with plenty of room for everyone to relax, prepare meals and eat together. The space can be extended outdoors by opening up the big floor-to-ceiling patio doors onto the balcony. During the warmer months, this south-facing balcony area becomes a real sun trap and you can relax on the loungers, cook and eat outdoors, or just sit back and relax in the hot tub. You’ll also find some binoculars provided for doing a bit of bird watching during the day and a telescope to help you enjoy the spectacular unpolluted skies at night.
The house has three bedrooms, comfortably accommodating up to six guests. The first bedroom is just off from the main living area and can be set up with two singles or a super-king size bed. Natural light floods in through the skylight windows and there’s also an ensuite with a rainfall shower. If you’re bringing the kids along, this is a great room for them with a smart TV and an adjoining door through to the double room next door, creating a lovely family suite. The third bedroom is located on the mezzanine level above the living area with a glass balustrade so you can enjoy the view.
You’ll find plenty to do in the surrounding area with the beautiful woodlands and lakes of Druridge Bay Country Park just a mile away and big sandy beaches close by. It’s a gentle 30-minute stroll to Druridge Bay where you’ll find seven miles of sand stretching into the distance. It’s a lovely place to take the dog for a walk, do a bit of bird watching or to simply sit and watch the world go by. A little further north, you’ll find the fishing town of Amble with its busy harbour and some great restaurants, as well as the historic Warkworth and its medieval castle. Here you’ll find another impressive stretch of golden sand, perfect for a good walk to work up an appetite for lunch at one of the four village pubs.
