This pair of incredible treetop cabins sit just one hour from Oslo in stunning Norwegian scenery surrounded by nature with a view of Lake Mjøsa. The two cabins offer striking architectural design and provide groups of up to four an amazing place to relax and unwind.
Both cabins - Ospero and Knausen - have been designed to be at one with their natural surroundings and are tucked nicely away between the trees. When you step inside, you’ll be blown away by the breathtaking views that are on offer, thanks to huge windows that perfectly frame the surrounding scenery whilst also flooding the cabins with natural light.
The calming location offers you and your loved ones the chance to experience the silence and beauty that surrounds you, allowing you to forget the trappings of daily life and unwind in true peace. Inside, natural materials enhance the calming atmosphere, and despite being compact, there’s still plenty of space for you to unwind together.
Up first is Ospero, which is perched high in the trees, offering a striking treetop cabin designed to bring the outside in. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the forest on all sides, letting you wake to the soft rustle of aspen leaves and fall asleep beneath a canopy of stars. This cabin sleeps four (plus one), with a dreamy double bed tucked into the loft - which can be split into singles on request - and two cosy window benches which are ideal for snuggling up with a book but can be converted into beds if needed. The thoughtfully designed space includes a compact kitchen, a snug bathroom and a fireplace where you can warm your toes as you gaze out at the view.
You’ll also love the outdoor area, where a firepit surrounded by benches invites slow evenings under the sky. Whether you’re sipping something warm or toasting marshmallows, you’ll be wrapped in silence, fresh air and views you won’t want to leave.
Next up is Knausen, a beautifully crafted cabin that combines cosy comforts with wild surroundings. Designed for up to four guests, it’s the perfect base for slow mornings, forest walks and nights by the fire. Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, wood-burning stove and a smart little bathroom with underfloor heating - ideal for chilly toes. Again, the loft contains a fab double bed, for a peaceful night’s sleep, whilst the main space features a dining table and a bench that cleverly transforms into a double bed.
Step outside onto the veranda where there's space for four to sit back with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature.
During your stay you will be surrounded by stunning scenery, yet just a short trip from both Oslo and Gardermoen. LAUV Treetop Cabins offers the perfect escape for those seeking peace, great food and immersive outdoor experiences.
Whether you're looking to unwind or explore, the local guide will craft a nature experience tailored to your wishes. From snowshoeing through quiet forests to ice fishing on frozen lakes or even a historic walk to Feiring Jernverk, there's something for everyone.
The owners can light a bonfire, share a delicious lunch and let the scenery do the rest. With all activities located close to the treetop cabins, it’s easy to enjoy nature at your own pace — and make memories that last.
