Hills Farm is a wonderfully equipped family home located in the north of the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, that comes with an abundance of space both inside and out.
It’s an ideal retreat for an extended family get-together or a large group of adult friends looking to take it easy in idyllic surroundings, able to accommodate 10-12 adults and two to four kids. The property comes with five large bedrooms, one twin room and one bunk room, with each sleeping space having access to its own bathroom.
Some houses can feel cramped with this number of guests, but Hills Farm provides plenty of opportunities for you to feel cosy with its large living spaces with soft furnishings, as well as a reading room and TV snug for anyone wanting a bit of peace and quiet. When it comes to socialising, the large open-plan kitchen and dining area are ideal for catching up and sharing the joy of food together.
When it comes to getting to Hills Farm, there is space for up to seven cars on the driveway. This includes access to a garage as well as an EV charging point for the environmentally minded.
Outside the main house is where Hills Farm really comes into its own. The five-acre garden has a beautiful natural pool you can take a dip in - it’s unheated though, so be mindful of the temperature! Or if you prefer, you can lounge on a sunbed on the adjacent decking. Groups looking for a bit more action can make use of a football pitch to build up an appetite.
After these activities, you can enjoy an alfresco dining adventure with the outdoor kitchen and dining area. Choose between a gas-powered BBQ and a wood-fired pizza oven to feed your group. And once you’ve feasted, you can finish an evening off in the secret wooded area with its fire pit.
If indoor pursuits are more your thing, take advantage of the comprehensive gym located in the converted stables. Enjoy a brisk workout and then relax in the sauna or steam room. Or enjoy a movie night by connecting a phone or laptop to the projector and screen in the main living room.
Venturing out, you have the charming village of Brailes just minutes away, with a butchers and bakery providing delicious local produce. A little further afield are a number of highly recommended pubs and restaurants for when you want someone else to do the catering for you.
And of course, being the Cotswolds, there is a tremendous array of local walks you can go on, or places of note to visit, such as Bourton-on-the-Water, with its renowned low bridges and delightful model village.
