A 19th Century terraced cottage on the historic harbour of Portree, Isle of Skye
Found right on the harbour of Skye's 'capital' town, Portree, Harbour House is a charming terraced cottage that sleeps up to six guests. Benefitting from breathtaking views of the sea and harbour from all the front rooms, this is a special treat for families and groups of friends holidaying on Skye and looking for a central location. The ideal base for exploring the whole island, you can walk to the many pubs, eateries and shops from Harbour House, and drive out to discover the wondrous sites of Skye with ease.
The property has two sea-facing bedrooms - one super king and one king - as well as another twin bedroom upstairs. There is also the option for a fold-out single bed in the downstairs living area for extra guests. Downstairs, you'll find a spacious kitchen and dining area, a beautiful lounge complete with woodburning stove, a games room and a handy utility room. The lounge and kitchen both have stunning sea views. For those balmy summer evenings, why not make use of the quaint garden space with its own al fresco dining table? Your very own private area on the edge of the water allows you to soak up the views of your tranquil, calm surroundings.
Just a short walk away from the shops, restaurants and pubs of Portree, you'll benefit by being based in the heart of Skye. Set off on a beautiful walk straight from Harbour House around the peninsula or up the Meall to find gorgeous views across to Raasay and the Cuillins. Or amble down to the pier where you can buy fresh seafood straight from the boat. Portree offers a wonderful atmosphere in its many pubs, cafes and eateries and you may even be lucky enough to catch a Scottish real from some of the local musicians.
