Tucked away amongst the rolling hills of Germany’s picturesque Moselle region, this contemporary farmhouse offers a peaceful escape for families or groups of friends. Relax in the large garden enjoying the panoramic views, lounge by the pool on a sunny afternoon or go for a rejuvenating session in the private spa. Head out to explore the stunning surroundings with vineyards stretching along the Moselle River and go wine tasting or canoeing. In the evenings, rustle up some dinner on the BBQ before snuggling up in front of a good movie in the cinema.
The house, based on the footprint of a traditional barn, has been thoughtfully designed with groups in mind, offering a spacious open-plan living area and modular bedrooms that can be configured to suit your needs. The huge living area is flooded with natural light thanks to the large sliding doors that lead out onto the garden and the high ceilings create a wonderful sense of space. It’s the perfect spot to gather together to cook a meal, enjoy family dinners at the table or relax in the lounge area.
On sunny days, open up those sliding doors out onto the garden and put your feet up on a sun lounger as the kids splash about in the heated pool. If you fancy a quiet moment, stroll through the garden where you’ll find herbs, berries and vegetables growing or make your way to the sauna and wood-fired hot tub. There’s also a yoga studio in the barn with some fitness equipment which doubles as a treatment room if you fancy booking a massage.
There are six bedrooms in total, comfortably sleeping up to 14 guests in various configurations. Modular beds, custom-built bunk beds and stacking beds provide flexible sleeping arrangements for different groups and the luxurious mattresses and pillow menu ensure you’ll be in complete comfort. There’s air conditioning to keep you cool in the summer and the underfloor heating can be individually adjusted in each room.
There’s plenty of exploring to be done nearby, with the region’s famous vineyards, beautiful castles and the winding Moselle River right on your doorstep. Pack a picnic and go for a walk or bike ride along the banks of the river. The house has a boat that’s available to rent or you can go for a paddle in a canoe. Book yourselves in for a wine tasting at one of the local vineyards or visit the stunning Eltz Castle which rises out of the surrounding forest, straight out of a fairytale.
