Birdcage Cottage is a charming coastal retreat in Cornwall that combines a rural, rustic aesthetic with modern amenities. Comfortably sleeping four guests in two bedrooms, this quaint cottage features recessed alcoves, exposed brickwork and stripped back wooden flooring. The cottage has been carefully styled throughout, and makes a great space for two couples, groups of friends, or small families, looking to escape to the seaside in Cornwall.
The delightful kitchen has chunky worktops and a big Belfast sink, and there's also a huge range cooker and a stylish Smeg fridge. This is a beautiful room, and has all you need to cook up some lovely local produce for your friends and family. Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner on the large farmhouse-style dining table that comfortably seats eight. This room also has a comfy armchair and a decorative fireplace.
The living room, which sits upstairs, is quaint and cosy, and has a high ceiling and big windows to flood the space with natural light. Here you'll find a comfortable corner sofa that sits in front of the wall-mounted television. The room also has a leather arm chair that sits next to a log burning fireplace, so you can get comfy by the fire with a good book and stay nice and toasty all-year-round.
The two bedrooms also sit on the upper floor, and both have super-comfy double beds, and simple, minimalist design. Whitewashed walls, combine with exposed brickwork, and rustic wooden floors to give the bedrooms a stylish feel, whilst nice sized windows allow in the morning sunshine, once you've flung open the curtains. The property also has a furnished outdoor seating area out the front, where you can enjoy a morning cuppa in the fresh Cornish air.
Located as you are on the South Cornwall coast, you're spoiled when it comes to things to see and do. The twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are just a three minute walk apart and they, along with the entire area, are unspoiled by development and remain true to a traditional Cornish way of life. This part of the UK is full of beautiful scenery and there are plenty of fab beaches and pretty walking routes nearby. You're also not far from the thriving Devon city of Plymouth, where there are lots of nice eateries, pubs, and other attractions.
