Luxurious enough for parents and fun enough for kids, Cornwall’s Fowey Hall has thought of everything to create a getaway which will get every family member’s approval. Just a few minutes’ walk from the sea and the town, this former mansion looks out across the Fowey Estuary and is thought to have inspired Kenneth Grahame to create Toad Hall in ‘Wind in the Willows’.

Incorporating a top-notch restaurant and a spa where all the family are welcome, Fowey Hall is the exact opposite of an adults-only hotel. However, that doesn’t mean those adults can’t enjoy some time to themselves – services including childcare, babysitting, a creche and flexible mealtimes will allow you to plan some ‘me’ or ‘we’ time with no worries. Among the excellent facilities everyone can enjoy are an indoor pool, a play area and cinema room.

The stylish rooms have been set up with the whole family in mind too, with rooms and suites of various sizes, and interconnecting options – many enjoying fine views across the water. The deluxe interconnecting rooms have two bathrooms, give everyone a little more privacy, and are elegantly appointed with period-style furniture.

Ideal for larger, younger families, you’ll also find a 5-person suite with bunk beds overlooking the beautiful garden. And because nobody is left out at Fowey Hall, you can bring your dog along too.

Another highlight of this hotel is the restaurant, which takes full advantage of Cornwall’s fine local produce to create its seasonally inspired fare. Special menus for younger and older children will keep everybody satisfied, with snacks and children’s meals available all day long.
