Built and designed by the award-winning firm Eco Living, this unique one-bedroom holiday home located on the banks of Loch Broom is a wonderful base for those who want to explore the Scottish Highlands. It’s set in a truly spectacular location, surrounded by the rugged Highland landscape, the waters of the Loch and the trickling stream that flows past the house.
Waterfell is an eco-friendly house with larch cladding that helps the striking modern building become a natural part of the scenery. Inside, you’ll find an open-plan, contemporary design with large windows to help you enjoy that stunning view. Step down from the entrance hall into the bright and spacious living area. Light the wood burner, put your feet up with a book, relax in front of a film or simply sit back and enjoy the view. There’s also underfloor heating to keep you cosy, whatever the weather outside. There’s a modern kitchen equipped with everything you’ll need to cook up delicious meals with the wonderful produce available locally.
The bedroom has a handmade super-king size bed to sink into after a long day exploring the Highlands. Sit up among the pillows with your morning coffee and enjoy the wonderful views out over the Loch. There’s also a modern ensuite bathroom with a shower over a bath.
Outside, there’s a small courtyard with timber decking and a partially covered area that acts both as a welcoming entrance to the house and a lovely outdoor space to soak up your surroundings. The decking leads down to a pretty shingle garden and seating area. You can go for a paddle in the stream and follow it down to the shore of the Loch and explore the pebble beach.
Waterfell’s location offers a wonderful sense of privacy and tranquillity and you can enjoy your surroundings in complete seclusion. However, being only fifteen minutes from Ullapool, you get the best of both worlds. There’s beautiful scenery, mountain walking and cycling routes, deserted beaches on the one hand and the vibrant village of Ullapool on the other. Here you’ll find some excellent restaurants serving up delicious feasts with top local produce, markets and art galleries. You can also book yourself on a boat trip around the isles from the harbour. Waterfell is also located on one of the best driving roads in the world, the famous North Coast 500 route. This is a 500-mile scenic drive around the north of Scotland, linking many of the highlights of the Highlands in one trip.

Leave a reviewA fantastic property in a stunning location. Waterfell is finished off to a very high standard & had everything we needed for a week's stay. So much to do on the doorstep, we didn't want to leave. Don't think about it, just book it!

The most amazing property in an idyllic location! The lodge is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need with luxury added in too. A lovely evening chilling in front of the open wood fire watching the sun go down over the loch in front of the kitchen window. Far enough away to be peaceful and relaxing but only a short drive away to the local town of Ullapool. The owners Terry and his wife, very helpful and accommodating! Can’t wait for our next stay in 2023!
