Watch House is a truly enchanting retreat that’s perfect for a romantic break on the Pembrokeshire coast. A Grade II listed gem, this home is tucked away up a single-track lane and boasts gorgeous 180-degree views of the sea.
Stepping inside, the home is full of old-world charm thanks to huge inglenook fireplaces, wood-burning stoves, beautiful stonework, vintage furniture and exposed beams. Settle down in front of the fire with a mug of coffee and a good book, or take your cuppa out into the garden to enjoy whilst taking in the amazing views of the ocean and the rolling green countryside.
The cottage is a single-story building and the cosy living room with its wood-burner is a lovely place to relax and unwind. The living room also features a two-seater sofa, a leather armchair, a dining table and two chairs. You can whip up lovely meals in the quaint galley kitchen before eating on the dining table in the lounge or in the sunny back garden. The well-equipped kitchen features an electric fan oven, a separate electric hob, sink and essential cookware.
When bedtime beckons the snug double bedroom offers a lovely night’s sleep and also features a wood-burner to keep you warm and toasty. There’s also a neat and compact shower room on offer.
Whilst the home is tailored for a solo traveller or couples, it is also nicely welcoming for well-behaved dogs and infants can be accommodated, however, you will need to bring their bedding.
Situated approximately six miles away from St David's, the cottage is just beyond the confines of Llanrhian village and a mere five-minute drive to the historic harbour of Porthgain.
With commanding views over the globally-acclaimed Pembrokeshire Coast Path, the property is nestled within the embrace of the Pembrokeshire National Park. It has great proximity to some of the region's most exquisite beaches and guests can indulge in culinary delights at notable establishments like The Shed at Porthgain. Notably, Pembrokeshire has secured the prestigious title of BBC Countryfile's favourite UK holiday destination. So be sure to visit Watch Cottage and explore all that this fabulous part of the country has to offer!

Leave a reviewWe had a fantastic 5 by night stay at Watch House. Alex is an excellent host by answering all our questions giving advice prior to our arrival. The cottage location was great all made the better by a beautiful sunny week. Loved the private garden and bbq'ing in the evenings. Several visits to Porthgain and purchased the local artwork. Loads of walking along the scenic coastline with Molly our pooch. Boat trip to/round Ramsey Island. Saw seals here and at Strumble Head..Sunsets!! Sooo many pics!! Thank you Alex.
