Enjoy a tranquil holiday in a magical Cornish woodland at Trecombe Lakes. This lakeside getaway is located near Falmouth and Helford River and offers a selection of luxury glamping pods and lodges.
The pods allow guests to immerse themselves in the great outdoors. Made from highly insulated and sustainable materials and with double glazed windows, they are designed to be cool and airy in summer and cosy and warm in the winter. Sleeping up to five people, each pod has a double bed and two single beds. The clever design incorporates a small kitchen with electric hob and oven, fridge, and freezer. There is also a shower room with basin and toilet.
Outside the pods is a wooden decked area with seating, a barbecue, and a fire pit. Those staying can also use the communal lodge house with its large fridge, microwave, washing machine, and tumble dryer.
For those who want to stay somewhere a little larger and more modern, then Trecombe Lakes now has six lodges nestled in and around the lakes. Each sleeps up to six people, with one double bedroom, a mezzanine sleeping area, and a sofa bed. Designed and built by the award-winning Ecospace, the stylish interior is made from premium birch and boasts a handmade kitchen, toilet, and shower room. There is also underfloor heating and a log burner for when the weather is a little chilly. For that added little touch of luxury there is a wood fired Swedish hot bath on the outdoor decking.
On site there is a woodland play area with climbing wall, treehouse, and rope swings, but those staying are also ideally positioned for getting out and about and exploring Cornwall. Close by is the Helford River, along the banks of which are ancient woodland, hidden beaches, and country pubs. Meanwhile, the vibrant town of Falmouth is just five miles away and has many spectacular beaches. These offer a wide range of water sports and beach activities, from paddle boarding to rock pooling. The town itself has a picturesque marina, independent shops, and many fantastic restaurants.
