Two beautifully designed shepherds' huts with cosy interiors and outdoor baths sitting in a peaceful slice of Devon countryside
This pair of quaint and cosy shepherds’ huts both sit in their own private slice of peaceful Devon countryside, offering couples a romantic retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Both huts - Robin’s Retreat and Da Vinci's Den - exude their own unique character and style, from the custom oak interiors to the lush designer upholstery.
Every detail in each hut has been thoughtfully curated, from the soothing hues to the exotic touches of Emma Shipley designer furnishings. Rodin's Retreat showcases a fresh, lime-green palette, while Da Vinci's Den captivates with rich red and turquoise tones
As you arrive, you’ll be delighted by the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings, and when you step inside, you’ll find wonderful and stylish living quarters that ensure you and your loved one have a fantastic stay. When night falls, enjoy a peaceful sleep in the amazing king size bed or make use of the stargazing roof window that allows you to gaze up at the constellations before nodding off.
In the morning prepare a coffee in the nicely equipped kitchenette and take it outside in the fresh Devon air. Or prepare a hearty breakfast to enjoy on the romantic dining table for two, that sits next to a lovely window that nicely frames the country views. Each hut also has a convenient ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, ensuring there are no late night dashes across the grass to find a loo, and they both feature electric radiators to keep you toasty whatever the weather outside.
As well as being wonderful inside, each hut has a fantastic private outdoor deck that makes spending time outside a joy. Each deck has an antique cast-iron table and chairs and a BBQ/firepit so you can grill some delicious local produce or toast marshmallows as the sun begins to set. And to top it off, you also have a Swedish log-fired outdoor bath for a touch of indulgence. Sink into the steaming bath as you sip a glass of bubbly, surrounded by twinkling fairy lights and the peaceful sounds of the countryside.
Devon is filled with stunning National Trust sites nearby, including Finch Foundry, Castle Drogo, Lydford Gorge and Killerton House - ideal for history, scenic walks, and cosy cafés. For a garden escape, RHS Rosemoor is just 20 minutes away, offering a breathtaking rose garden and more.
Exeter, your closest city at 22 miles, boasts a grand cathedral, Roman walls, charming shops and the Royal Albert Memorial Museum. You're also close to Dartmoor National Park, with 365 square miles of rugged beauty, ancient tombs, medieval ruins and wild Dartmoor ponies, making it a true paradise for nature lovers.
