Less than an hour by train from London, this fantastic hotel is tucked away on the outskirts of the quirky village of Bridge near Canterbury. The hotel has an illustrious musical past having been home to some renowned gigs from legendary acts, including Led Zeppelin, in the '70's. The house itself has been beautifully refurbished highlighting many of its period features. Think open fires, secret stairwells, panelled rooms and plenty of nooks and crannies to explore!

There are a number of gorgeous rooms to choose from, some in the main building and many more spread out across the grounds in lodges, Stream Wagons, Hop Pickers' Huts and The Barn.

The Huts are nestled in the water meadows on stilts, the Wagons are hidden in a secluded spot by the water and The Barn is a romantic haven over two floors with far-reaching views. All of the rooms, small and vast, are decked out with rich colours, lush fabrics and rustic textures creating a quintessentially English vibe with a homely charm. And all of the rooms come with fully stocked larders of vintage treats which you can purchase if the late night munchies strike. Many also come with freestanding baths for an extra touch of luxury, and the few that don't have fabulous monsoon showers.

THE PIG team pride themselves on locally sourced and home grown food. They have their own magnificent Kitchen Garden where they grow much of what you'll find on the menu. And anything they can't produce themselves they source from suppliers and farmers within a 25 mile radius.

They have two restaurants to choose from. The main one is uniquely open plan allowing guests to watch the chefs at work. The environment is a gorgeous cohesive mix of antique furniture, pickling jars, mismatched crockery and curious art. A wonderful place to enjoy some fabulous wines and simple, fresh, local food. If you fancy dining alfresco they also offer the Garden Oven which specialises in wood-fired dishes along with some tasty tipples! It's nestled in the heart of the Kitchen Garden which you'll find over the rickety bridge and through the greenhouse.

Book a table, explore the grounds, soak away your cares in the freestanding bath, then head over to the bar, order a cocktail and settle in by the roaring fire. Every space in THE PIG is charming and the hosts encourage you to wander, take lots of pictures and feel at home.

After a peaceful night's rest you might like to book yourself in for some spa treatments at The Potting Shed before exploring a little further afield. THE PIG encourages you to try some of the other fabulous local eateries including The Bridge Arms, The Duck Inn and a staff favourite, Tadpole Tea rooms. And if you're a fan of cider, the nearby Kentish Pip is a fantastic local brewery with its own shop, bar and restaurant.
