This is a quirky and unique dwelling with bucketloads of rustic charm thanks to the beautiful collection of repurposed finds alongside colourful twists.
Elizabeth, the property’s owner, created the space to offer a peaceful retreat that is dappled in shade and art. Downstairs is where you’ll find the kitchen and seating area, where a quaint dining table sets the scene for romantic meals. However, there’s also a little table outside, offering you the chance to dine in the fresh air and take in your surroundings.
When it comes to meal prep, the quaint kitchen has a few useful amenities, including a gas hob, a small fridge, a microwave and a sink.
As night falls, head up the stairs to the mezzanine, where you’ll find the double bed that sits under the long strip of windows, which provide you with a light feel and ventilation that lets in the sweet fragrances of the orchard. The retreat also has a lovely bathroom complete with colourful Andalusian tiles, a hot shower and an eco toilet, whilst a flushing toilet is located 30 metres away.
When it comes to filling your days, you’ll be able to relax and unwind in peace, taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the orchard. However, Elizabeth also runs a number of classes nearby, including painting, creative crafting, meditation and music. You’re more than welcome to join in on these classes during your stay, but the Little Wooden House is situated out of sight among the fruit trees offering plenty of privacy if you’d rather keep to yourself.
If you wish to venture out and explore, then you’re a 30-minute walk to the beautiful white stone village of Monda, where you can visit cafes, markets and a fantastic castle. As you hike through the hills be sure to keep your eyes peeled for nimble mountain deer. You can even head to the beach, just 20 minutes away at Marbella or a number of quieter spots along the coast.
