Set on a working sheep farm just eight miles from Wales’ spectacular Ceredigion coastline, this stylish barn conversion is perfect for family escapes to the countryside. Open plan living spaces with a wood-burning stove promise cosy nights in with a board game or two. You’ll find a hot tub in the garden and a patio for a spot of al fresco dining on warmer days. Spend your days down at the coast, enjoying time at the beach, or exploring some of the coastal towns and villages nearby. All before heading back for a relaxed evening at Stabl Nantcoy, stargazing from the hot tub or putting your feet up in front of the fire.
The interior has been designed in a contemporary style, with open-plan living spaces, clean lines and plenty of natural light thanks to big windows. You’ll find comfy sofas and armchairs in the living area with a large wall-mounted TV and a wood-burning stove, setting the scene for cosy evenings in. The well-equipped kitchen is just behind the living area, meaning the chef will have plenty of company while getting dinner ready. There’s also a dining table surrounded by windows and French doors out onto the patio.
There are three bedrooms in total, one king-size with an en-suite, a double and a twin. There’s a family bathroom with a luxurious free-standing bath, perfect for relaxing in after a long walk along the coastal path.
Outside, you’ll find a peaceful and private garden. It’s equipped with furniture for outdoor dining and a hot tub. In the evenings, get the hot tub going and look up as the stars come out. The rural location and lack of light pollution mean they put on quite a show on clear nights.
There’s plenty to do in all directions. You have the coast to the west where you can enjoy beach days, coastal walks or dolphin spotting boat trips. Further inland, you’ll find the Cumbrian Mountains for more spectacular scenery, including many beautiful waterfalls and lakes. The pretty Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron is nearby and the lively town of Aberyswyth is just 30 minutes away by car.

We stayed at Stabl Nantcoy last weekend and it was amazing. Spotlessly clean, two huge bathrooms, hot tub, wood burner, heated floors, fully equipped kitchen, big comfy beds, nice sofas.. everything you could possibly need! I’ve rented cottages before but none compare to this one. They had thought of everything. Beautiful location. Would highly recommend and will be booking again :) Lowri (the host) is helpful and friendly. 5*
