This stunning seaside villa is a modern design icon, fresh from the pages of fashion magazines, and perfect for an idyllic vacation in the most glamorous surroundings.
Nestled into the side of a Sicilian cliff face, overlooking the sparking turquoise waters of the Mediterranean, this spectacular villa was designed and built in the 1980s by architect Armando Barraja. It is still owned by the family who are keen to share this architectural beauty.
The villa's clean lines and smooth curves frame sections of the stunning garden which brims with olives trees, palms, agaves, cactus and geraniums - creating a festival of sight and smell for the senses.
Steps wind through the planting down to two private bays, where guests can sunbathe and sea dip in total seclusion before heading back to the villa for lunch on the spectacular balcony terrace. It's easy to spend long afternoons gazing out to sea before getting ready for the evening and returning for pre-dinner sunsets and aperitivo.
The interior of this immaculate property reflects the glamour and style of the exterior. Glass brick walls bring pools of sunlight into the wonderful open plan living space, furnished with stylish bespoke pieces which reflect the period of the villa.
A wide galley-style kitchen has pretty French doors which open out onto a picturesque terrace, cooks will love gazing out while the sauce simmers in the frying pan and the pasta bubbles away on the gas hob.
Enjoy dinner on any one of the delightful terraces or head to the large concave deck, which has plenty of shade to keep the sun away during the hottest part of the day.
There are four bedrooms for guests including a two-person hideaway separate to the main house. These simple, but stylish rooms, have large porthole windows and lovely bursts of colour which perfectly compliment the otherwise cool, muted, decor.
The villa is located in an amazing spot for local fishing allowing you to see the fishing culture of Sicily up close. The villa sits between two small fishing towns - Aspra and Sant'elia-Porticello - where you can witness fishing boats come and go as the fishermen work away in the harbour. This also means that you have a lot of wonderful opportunities to dine in some fabulous fish restaurants eating some delicious fresh fish.
Should guests want to travel further afield, there are many fabulous places to discover nearby. Make an early start and explore the ancient ruins at Solunto before enjoying lunch in one of Santa Flavia's fabulous restaurants before whiling away the afternoon on Sant'Elia beach.
