Located in the heart of Cornwall and surrounded by stunning scenery, Quick’s Cottage is a perfect rural escape for the family or a group of friends. Guests at the cottage are treated to a warm and welcoming home, stylishly decorated and full of character. The property is ideally situated just outside the seaside town of St Ives and is near some of Cornwall’s most famous sandy beaches.
The cottage has been carefully renovated and includes all the modern comforts of home, but still maintains its traditional features such as the exposed granite walls. Guests enter through the kitchen area, equipped with high-quality appliances and all the essentials needed to cook up a feast, which can be enjoyed at the small dining table. An open archway leads to the cosy living room, with plenty of comfy seating for everyone around a large TV – there’s also a log burner to warm up by in the cooler months.
The master and twin bedrooms, both fitted with comfy beds and crisp white linen, are upstairs along with the family bathroom which has a bath, overhead shower, and super soft towels. Outside the property you’ll find the patio area, perfect for relaxing in the afternoon sun, or firing up the barbecue and eating al fresco at the picnic table.
The cottage is a 10-minute drive – or 30-minute walk if you’re feeling adventurous – to St Ives, known as the jewel of Cornwall. Voted the best holiday destination by Coast magazine, the picturesque seaside town is a great day out, full of things to do. Walk down the cobbled streets, eat at one of many award-winning restaurants or relax at a café or bar. It’s also where you'll find Porthmeor beach, a golden stretch of sand popular with swimmers and surfers. There you can hop on a boat to Seal Island, home to – as the name suggests - a colony of Atlantic grey seals. If you fancy something more cultural, St Ives has a thriving art scene, including Tate St Ives gallery, a modern art exhibition showcasing British artists, and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. You are also less than an hour’s drive away from other Cornish seaside towns such as Newquay and Falmouth.
