Hananui PurePod is nestled amidst native bush behind a predator-proof fence within an eco-sanctuary on the stunning Rakiura Stewart Island, part of the southern-most Dark Sky Reserve.
You'll be treated to absolutely stunning views northwest across Lee Bay to the island's highest peak. The setting is perfect for relaxation in privacy and tranquility, offering beautiful sunsets, evening kiwi spotting, amazing star-gazing and waking to sunshine twinkling on the sea below, accompanied by a gentle chorus of birdsong.
Your journey to the Hananui PurePod begins with either a scenic 15-minute flight from Invercargill or a 60-minute ferry ride from Bluff. Upon arrival on the island, you can choose to walk, hire a bike or take a taxi for the remaining 4km to the entrance of the Mamaku Point Conservation Reserve.
Awake each morning in your super comfy bed and enjoy a breathtaking view through the huge windows. The super-modern space is a calming place to unwind, fully equipped with amenities, including a fantastic shower, flush toilet, crisp linens and cooking essentials like a gas hob and BBQ. Additionally, an array of games, local reference books and a telescope are at your disposal, ensuring you'll never be left wanting for things to do.
Kick back and unwind in the luxurious camp chairs on the deck or recline in the exceptionally comfortable bed while nature unfolds before you.
You are provided with some delicious food during your stay including a scrumptious snack platter of cheese, olives, sundried tomatoes, crackers, hummus and dips using local ingredients is available. The chef's selection (ready for you to cook on either the gas cooktop or BBQ) is accompanied with gourmet potatoes and seasonal vegetable kebabs or fresh salad. To finish the evening meal, there is a scrumptious sweet treat.
Breakfast is granola accompanied with seasonal fruit and yoghurt.Stretch out on the deck, savor a glass of wine, and revel in the complete absence of people and traffic. Vegetarian and gluten-free alternatives are available upon request.
