Dixie Daisy is a unique and beautifully restored Airstream trailer set in twelve acres of pristine Texas Hill Country. The owners have lovingly finished this cozy space in a super cool retro style. If you love camping, but wish you had a comfortable bed to sleep in, this glamping experience is the perfect compromise. It has all the comforts of home combined with the tranquility of a rural escape.

The trailer consists of a bedroom with a comfortable queen sized bed, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with a real toilet and shower. There is a lounge where you can watch TV, or relax with the well stocked books and games. A large private outdoor shower is a great place to freshen up under the trees. You can soak in the hot tub, take a nap in the hammock, or simply chill out on the outdoor deck with a cold beer. In the evening the string lights go on and you can cook al fresco on the charcoal grill, and warm yourself by the chiminea (firewood provided). Nearby is a treehouse where you can picnic and take in the beauty of the area.

The town of Wimberley, located between Austin and San Antonio, is the coolest little town in Texas, with plenty of antique shops, galleries and eateries. The terrain has rolling hills, shimmering creeks and beautiful natural wonders such as Jacobs Well Preserve, Blue Hole (a swimming hole) and Cypress Creek Nature Trail, a wonderful place to see native birds and other wildlife.

The wineries of the Wimberley Valley are thriving and there is a choice of tasting rooms where you can sample the wines, and eat at some fantastic restaurants. The area has a rich art scene with music events, a variety of restaurants an outdoor movie theatre that has been entertaining people since 1948. Nearby is an 18 hole golf course, one of the longest zip wires in Texas and Pedernales Falls State Park, one of the most popular parks in Texas. There is also an 1880’s Pioneer Town within easy reach.
