Once you arrive, drop your bags off and head to your quaint sun terrace where you can get comfy with a drink in hand or hop in your own private heated swimming pool for a lovely dip. From here you can gaze out at the surrounding scenery, taking in the rolling hillsides dotted with homes. There’s an alfresco dining table here too, should you wish to enjoy a meal outside in the Portuguese sunshine. Be sure to make the most of the beautiful night skies too - the area is an internationally certified Dark Sky protected reserve - so you can spot the constellations once the sun sets.
Stepping inside, the living spaces are cosy and rustic, with exposed stone walls and wooden beams overhead. Get comfy on the seating with a good book as you throw logs on the burner keeping you warm and toasty whatever the weather outside.

They bake just one type of bread in small or large loaves, along with papo-secos (Portuguese bread rolls) - the owners' personal favourite! For your everyday essentials, the charming little grocery shop, Mercearia Lino, run by the lovely Dona Bela, is also nearby - perfect for picking up fresh, local ingredients or enjoying a friendly chat
For nature lovers, Alqueva Lake is ideal for stargazing, kayaking or peaceful lakeside walks. You're also just 15 minutes from the beach, should you wish to relax on the sand, try your hand at watersports or enjoy a scenic boat ride.
