Sleeping 18 across eight bedrooms, The Artist's House is an artist’s farmhouse guaranteeing an opulent yet honest stay. A gorgeously renovated Provençal farmhouse nestled amidst seven hectares of vineyards and fruit trees alike, this property exudes southern French authenticity. With a private road to access the house and no neighbours, The Artist's House is the epitome of peace, furnished with simple, rustic interiors exuding character as its original artist owners intended. Complete with a swimming pool, terrace area and sauna room, The Artist's House has everything necessary for a tranquil retreat.
Located across 380sqm, six of the eight bedrooms are Provençal style double bedrooms hosting a fireplace, ensuite bathroom and WC. A further bedroom offers up bunk beds apt for children, with the office-library bedroom – located adjacent to the master bedroom, below the roof – posing two single beds and a beautiful panoramic view of the vineyards and Roussillon village. For an extra cost, the separate studio can be hired to sleep two extra people.
Impressively, the sauna room offers up the perfect opportunity to enjoy the simple life, with the living room hosting a classic, high Provençal ceiling and a sizeable fireplace. Elsewhere, the kitchen is furnished with a gas stove, two professional ovens, two refrigerators, one freezer, one microwave and two dishwashers. Technology-wise, there is a HiFi complete with CD player and iPod input, a cable TV, fast WiFi and a DVD player, with the dining room seating between fourteen and sixteen.
Outside, there is similarly space for fourteen to sixteen, with the morning sun peeking up over the valleys, promising the ultimate dose of vitamin D during breakfast time on the terrace. The front garden excitingly hosts a table tennis table alongside a court on which to play Petanque, a traditional sport in the south of France. The fourteen-metre-long swimming pool is accompanied by benches with mattresses and lounge chairs for relaxing in.
