Surrounded by the sapphire seas and dramatic, plunging hills of Argentina, Nordisk Village is a unique collection of large yurt-style tents, complete with modern amenities, and everything you need for a comfortable yet adventurous trip to Patagonia. Outdoorsy, romantic and visually stunning, Nordisk Village is a dreamy getaway, ideal for couples, young families, and groups of friends looking to explore wild and idyllic Patagonia in style.
The village itself comprises a suite of two 24 metre Vanaheim bell tents. Each comes with a super-comfy double bed, a smaller bed suitable for two children, and a range of amenities. Each tent has its own fridge and grill, with the option of cooking in the communal shared kitchen instead. The bathrooms are also shared. Inside, the tents benefit from a minimalist, classic décor, emphasising comfort and simplicity. Central heating means that whenever you choose to stay, you’ll be snug in your very own tent paradise.
Everything about Nordisk Village is laid back and enthusiastic, with a culture committed to low environmental impact, intense experiences, and getting to know the stunning and magical landscape of Patagonia. Whether beaches, mountains or rainforest are your ideal outdoors space, you’ll be in easy reach of all three. By winter, Nordisk Village is a popular base for the winter sports enthusiasts who flock to the nearby mountains to ski and snowboard, and throughout the other seasons, global travellers arrive to go rafting, hiking, and generally exploring the nearby settlements and rugged world on their doorstep.
Whatever your heart’s desire, Nordisk Village is the ideal jumping off-point. Run by seasoned travellers and adventurers, the staff know the area and local activities intimately, and will be more than happy to guide you and make recommendations to ensure that you have the trip of a lifetime, no matter what you’re looking to do. The charming, quaint mountain town of San Martin de Los Andes can be reached in twenty minutes, and the larger city of Bariloche is a two hour drive from the glamping site. A strong recommendation from the Nordisk Village staff it the Bariloche- San Martin road trip, over a hundred and twenty miles of plunging valleys, breath-taking natural vistas and placid glassy lakes which is guaranteed to stay with you for the rest of your life.
