Godrevy offers truly unique accommodation next to the Lizard Lighthouse in Cornwall.

Brought to you in association with Trinity House, the Lizard Lighthouse is located on the Southern-most tip of mainland Britain, and is home to six adjacent cottages all offering contemporary accommodation in a magnificent location. Godrevy is a three bedroom, two bathroom holiday cottage with uninterrupted views far out to sea.

The accommodation on offer is light and modern and the cottages are the most perfect place from which to watch the waves crash against the rocks. Situated next to a fully working lighthouse, you may need to use the complementary earplugs from time to time as the automatic 3 mile fog signal will sound if conditions are misty.

The cottage offers a large, modern kitchen complete with a cooker and hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and fridge freezer. Traditional wooden cabinets blend well with the dark tiled flooring to give a contemporary yet cosy feel. With a large oak table and enough seating to house all of your guests, you can while away the morning eating a lazy breakfast whilst looking out to sea.

The living room is bright and airy, with two deep comfortable sofas, offering enough room for everyone to enjoy putting their feet up after a busy day exploring in the salty sea air. A feature fireplace frames the room, whilst stylish modern touches add instant splendour.

The ground floor is also home to a good sized twin bedroom, with cool cotton linens, dark tiled floors and solid oak furnishings throughout. This bedroom benefits from it’s very own ensuite bathroom complete with single power shower, toilet and basin. Fluffy towels come as standard.

Move on upstairs to find two further bedrooms and a luxury family bathroom. The king size bedroom has a lush, deep mattress, soft white bedlinen and stunning views out across the water. Beautifully designed to offer clean, contemporary sleeping accommodation, you may never want to leave this room once you get settled. The final bedroom is a twin room with two good size single beds, exposed wood flooring and a cosy feel. The family bathroom is modern and offers deep bath for a long soak after a hard day in the great outdoors.

Outside the property there is an enclosed courtyard garden, where you can enjoy a glass of something cool as you listen to the gulls up ahead and the waves out to sea. Rare and beautiful flora and fauna also help to make this cliff top location particularly special.

The nearby Lizard Village provides shops, restaurants and a friendly pub, and is only a short ¼ mile distance away. Lizard Lighthouse is a fully working lighthouse, first established in 1619. The distinctive two white towers that it is known for today were built in 1751 by private entrepreneur Thomas Fonnereau, and first lit on 22 August of that year. Trinity House gained control of the lights in 1771 and continues to look after its operation to this day. It became electrified in 1924 and then fully automated in 1998.

The site is also open to the public for lighthouse tours, so why not pop in and see your nearest neighbour up close. The Lizard Peninsular is one of the most popular destinations in the area, and is perfect for visiting places like St. Michael's Mount, St. Ives and Mousehole.

However you spend your time at Bishops Rock, you will undoubtedly relish the unusual and magnificent location that your accommodation lies on.
