Here at Coolstays we love our dog-friendly stays. So we thought we'd introduce you to the dogs of Coolstays. Take a look below and meet some of the Coolstays team's canine companions!

MEET LOUIS!

Dog’s name: Louis (Lou-Lou)

Owner's name: Jemima - Social Media Manager

Dog’s breed: Standard longhaired dachshund

Dog’s age: 9

Tell us about your dog: Louis is a lovely little weirdo. He is the biggest sausage dog you will ever see with an even bigger personality. He has strong opinions about everything, especially lino floors and will avoid them at all costs. He is suspicious of everyone until they sit on the floor, then they are automatically his bestie.

What are your dog’s favourite walking spots: Camber Sands in East Sussex is his happy place - hours spent running around the dunes and paddling in the tidal pools in the winter months when dogs are allowed. We can often be found in the car park at the end of a walk having a Mexican standoff when he refuses to get back in the car.

Favourite dog-friendly vacation you’ve taken recently: We went to Cornwall with some friends and a few of them brought their dogs along too - endless beaches for him to run around, pretty cliff top walks and cosy pubs for him to snooze in! Girl Annie is a lovely dog-friendly Coolstay by the beach in Sennen.

Tell us a bit about your dog: Hattie loves food, cuddles and generally being the centre of attention.

What are your dog’s favourite walking spots: She enjoys a stroll on Brighton beach and walks on the South Downs.

Favourite dog-friendly vacation you’ve taken recently: Last summer we stayed at Little Burpham Cottage in West Sussex. Hattie had a great time furtling in the garden and being taken for long country walks.

MEET SID

Dog’s name: Sidney

Owner's name: Belinda - Account Manager

Dog’s breed: Italian greyhound

Dog’s age: 9-10 months

Tell us a bit about your dog: Gorgeous, naughty but very cute 'iggy' who is very sociable and energetic. Can outrun everything, pretty much, and loves new adventures. Not really up for swimming and can get cold due to lack of fur! Has a great wardrobe of coats, jumpers and onesies that is constantly being updated (there are even rumours of an Adidas tracksuit being added at some point!).

What are your dog’s favourite walking spots: Parts of the South Downs Way, along the river Itchen in Winchester and soon to be visiting St Agnes in Cornwall (first proper trip to the sea).

Favourite dog-friendly vacation you’ve taken recently: We stayed at The Carn at Frith Meadow in Herefordshire, which had great open fields for walks outside the property and good trails to the village.

Tell us a bit about your dog: A lively loyal bundle of joy who will love you forever if you stroke her ears and give her treats.

What are your dog’s favourite walking spots: Mersey Valley in South Manchester, a quick escape from urban surroundings. Rhosneigr in Anglesey for BIG skies and fabulous vistas.

Favourite dog-friendly vacation you’ve taken recently: Anglesey. The most amazing beach and coastal walks. We had a great stay at Owain’s Brace, which offers two fantastic, linked shepherd’s huts with a hot tub.

MEET OLLY

Dog’s name: Olly

Owner's name: Nick - Director

Dog’s breed: (Irish) Red setter

Dog’s age: Twelve and a half

Tell us a bit about your dog: One key thing to know about me - I love to run although at nearly 13 my range is not as much as it once was!

What are your dog’s favourite walking spots: The cathedral beech trees of Lambridge Woods above Henley, Maidensgrove Common and Watlington Hill, all of which are in the Chilterns. Further afield, I love a sandy beach.

Favourite dog-friendly vacation you’ve taken recently: Anglesey is a particular favourite - there's everything there. Wide open sandy beaches, dunes and the woods at Newborough Forest. North Norfolk is pretty cool too with Holkham beach going on forever! Peterstone Lodge is a great Coolstay with amazing access to the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
