Vicarage House is a beautiful Georgian home that has room for up to fifteen across 8 exquisite bedrooms. Located on the outskirts of Great Hockham, Norfolk, it has an exclusive location with six acres of stunning landscaped gardens. A separate pool house is just one of the luxury highlights and is joined by a hard tennis court and a heated outdoor pool. With four reception rooms and an array of hidden garden terraces, you can shut yourself off from the outside world and enjoy some quality time with loved ones.
The main living accommodation can be found in the stately home which has an historic exterior and a timeless, country elegance. High ceilings and fine antiques create a sense of grandeur and are fused with homely floral designs and sumptuous furnishings. The classic drawing room has doors which open out onto the terrace and is joined by a cosy sitting room and a modern kitchen/breakfast area. A delicate dining room also has plenty of character with hand-painted Chinoiserie wallpaper and a vintage dining table.
Upstairs, there are five sophisticated bedrooms with two en-suites and a spacious family bathroom. Choose the master Butterfly suite to enjoy room for up to three, or the delightful Red double room for a deluxe en-suite. The Teal and Cream double/twin rooms also have lovely garden views, while the Lilac single bedroom has a pretty floral theme. Three additional double/twin rooms can also be found in the pool house, each with their own pocket-sprung mattresses and contemporary country finish.
Beyond the mature trees and the pristine garden lawns, there is much to see and do around the local Norfolk area. The characterful village of Great Hockham is just down the road, while Newmarket, Norwich and Bury St Edmunds are just a short drive further. Inspirational nature trails are also waiting to be discovered amongst the 50,000 acres of woodland in Thetford Forest Park.
If you don’t want to venture far from the comfort of your home then you have everything you need within your private, country estate. Take a dip in the heated pool or play a game of tennis, before relaxing on the terrace or exploring the walled garden masterpiece. A much-loved games room can also be found in the Pool House, with traditional board games, a ping-pong table and high-tech consoles.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 3 nights low season & 7 nights high season
