Perched high above the sea in the picturesque harbourside village of Mevagissey, Oystercatcher offers a luxurious seaside escape for friends and families. This contemporary, light-filled holiday home features stunning views from its sun terrace, balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows over two levels. Wake up to spectacular sunrises over St Austell Bay before breakfast out on the balcony. During the day, head out to explore the beautiful south coast of Cornwall, with its rugged cliffs, sandy beaches and charming fishing villages. In the evenings, enjoy a glass of something out on the terrace before retreating inside to the cosy living space to enjoy a delicious dinner together.
The house has been designed with the bedrooms on the ground floor to make the most of those stunning views. There's a large driveway with space for three to four cars and steps that take you up to the glass-fronted sun terrace looking out over the bay. Step inside and you'll find doors leading off to the four bedrooms, all elegantly decorated in neutral tones to create a relaxing atmosphere. They're all equipped with king size beds, one of which can be split into two singles, offering a bit of flexibility for groups. Two of the rooms have ensuites and in one of these you'll find a beautiful freestanding bath, the perfect spot to relax after a busy day exploring. The other two rooms share a spacious family bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Head up to the first floor via the staircase with its glazed ceiling and you'll find yourself in the spacious open-plan living area. Put your feet up on one of the comfy sofas and soak up the view through the floor-to-ceiling windows or step out onto the glass-fronted balcony that stretches the full width of the house. There's a fully-equipped kitchen with an island breakfast bar, perfect for preparing meals and enjoying a morning coffee. The dining area is next to the kitchen, offering a sociable space to enjoy meals together while taking in the breathtaking sea views. There's also a separate snug area with a TV, providing a quiet spot to relax and unwind in the evenings.
Set on Cornwall's beautiful south coast, there's plenty of exploring to be done in the area. Those looking to discover the stunning natural landscapes will be able to stride off along the South West Coastal Path, enjoying the views of the sea and the coastline along the way. The Lost Gardens of Helian and the Eden Project are both nearby, showcasing the beauty of Cornwall's flora and fauna. The village itself offers opportunities for boat trips and seals and dolphins have even been known to visit the bay.
