You should know

• There is parking for up to five cars at the chalet.
• In winter snow/winter tyres are strongly recommended as there is a steeper part of road at both ends.
• When the roads are white, snow tyres, or if not snow chains, are mandatory equipment in the area.
• There are regular trains and buses from the end of the road to both Chamonix and St Gervais, as well as to Martigny in Switzerland (all the way to the Geneva airport if wanted!).

Guests can enjoy a fantastic stay at this beautiful, luxurious eco chalet, tucked away in one of Chamonix valley’s most sought after hamlets Les Frasserands. Sun-kissed all year round, this fabulous holiday home sleeps 12 guests across 5 bedrooms and has a number of high-end additions such as the endless pool, the sauna, and the jacuzzi. And, with views of Mont Blanc, Grand Montets and Aiguilles Rouges, you can rest and unwind whilst taking in all that this spectacular part of France has to offer. Add to this the access to some amazing skiing destinations in winter and some incredible cycling, running and hiking spots in summer, and you've got the perfect holiday destination all year round.

Thanks to a true sense of sustainability throughout, this chalet is ideal for any eco-conscious travellers. The owners have invested in premium eco features, and the chalet is autonomous in energy for most of the year, from both solar and geothermal heat sources. From organic paint, sheets and mattresses, to curtains from fashion offcuts and recycled PET ropes for the stairway, every little touch has been taken into consideration. The electricity also comes from renewable sources and even the wood used to make the chalet comes from an old chalet, to ensure its eco credentials.

When it comes to your stay, Chalet AIKOA has an open plan social space with sofas that look out at the amazing views. Guests can gather here in the evening enjoying a glass of bubbly whilst plotting the next day's adventure. The open plan space also features a meticulously designed kitchen, with all of the modern appliances you'll need to prepare delicious meals during your stay.

When the weather's warm you will want to spend your social time out on the terrace. Here there is a luxurious sauna and a hot tub, as well as a hanging chair and seating meaning you can enjoy the sun whilst taking in your surroundings. There's also a yoga space for anyone who fancies a good morning stretch.

Back inside, and there's a games room equipped with billiards, ping-pong and a locally Italian built hand-made wooden table football game. Guests also have access to their own private cinema room. This space is big enough for eight to 10 guests, so just connect to your own Netflix or Apple TV account and settle in for a movie session. Add to all of this the mini indoor pool and you've got plenty to keep you entertained during your stay.

The five bedrooms are all nicely decked out with super comfy beds, soft rugs, wooden walls and picturesque mountain views. And after a long day on the mountain, you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the freestanding bath tub in mezzanine floor bathroom, before enjoying dinner and drinks with your group.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed and an en suite bathroom with a double shower. Then there are two king sized double rooms both with en suite shower rooms. The next bedroom features a king sized double, plus bunk beds, and up on the mezzanine level sit two double beds (dormitory style) as well as a single mattress and a futon. There is a baby travel cot available too.

When it comes to venturing out, Chalet AIKOA is ideally situated for lovers of the great outdoors. You're a couple of minutes from the winter ski area of Le Tour, and no more than five minutes from the main ski zone of Les Grands Montets. You're also under 10 minutes from the Flegere-Brevent area. In the summer you can enjoy the huge wild garden area for football and general outdoor fun or head out and explore some fantastic cycling, hiking and running opportunities. And for those wanting to sample Chamonix’s famous nightlife, the town centre is just 10-15 minutes away by car, bus or train.
